"I remember, as a kid we had this wooden board in the garage that I now realise was an old belly board. I’m not sure where it came from but it was my earliest memory of some form of ocean craft. Growing up surfing very quickly became all and everything and subsequently opened up a whole new world.
My name is Karl, I am a photographer and founder of the design agency; Mackie based on the rugged north coast of Cornwall in the UK. Recognised for my analogue imagery documenting surf, lifestyle and seascape subjects, I work with various brands around the world creating visual content for campaigns and editorials."
