EPSILON

 

Let me introduce myself, my name is Clément Gerbaud, I am 19 years old, I am a young independent photographer and I live in France. I've been taking pictures for 5 years and with my friend Aurelien, we decided to release "EPSILON", a video summing up our express trip in the Spanish Basque country.

 
 

My friend is Aurelien Buffet, he's 19 years old, he's been surfing since he's 5 years old and he's one of the top 12 European surfers. On October 26th, considering the forecast, we decided to go to the north of Spain, to shoot a video in Mundaka. The day after our arrival the waves were perfect, that's when Aurelien started to surf and decided to surf until lunch. At the end of this madness, after having travelled through the North of Spain and having eaten hundreds of Tapas, was born the video "EPSILON" named after the storm that created this historical swell.

CHERRYSTONES is a short surf movie born from the love of classic surfing and aesthetics obsession.

On an original idea from Nathan Sadoun and Jeremy Soma, the movie was shot around the world between France, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Indonesia. To complete the story, everyone met on the way helped building the movie by sharing their time and knowledge.

CHERRYSTONES is the result of friends doing what they love the most.

Surf shape meets art. This collaboration was born with the idea of using a surfboard as a moving medium for visual art. Lucie links up her shaper Oli, "Sel Surfboards", with her longtime friend Marynn, tattooist and renowned visual artist. Marynn froze her credo A M O U R in red hand painted letters and a snake print, under the gold colored glass of the board.
