Driving 9 hours from the Basque Country after surfing all day to arrive in Nazaré at dawn, just in time for the swell was the first part of the mission. 6am on the cliff, the first crowds starting to arrive to watch the show. The swell has arrived during the night. It’s not as big as expected on the maps, but still massive for the common surfer.
