Liberty, freedom. It’s not about what you call it, it’s about how you feel it. 

Different people have different definitions of what, exactly, it means to be free. To finally escape from the ceaseless churning of our minds, from the demands of everyday life, from a situation that inhibits us from feeling or behaving like who we truly are.

The ocean provides that atmosphere for many. Over the course of history, different groups of human beings have regarded the sea as a wild sanctuary. A place where one world ends and another begins. They have made rituals out of bathing in it, soaking in its nutrients, absorbing its energy, and coming out feeling more alive, more connected, more free.

If only all of those people knew what it feels like to take off on a wave.
