We're happy (Onde Nostre) to present the first teaser of our new project NAUSICAA, a new surf movie on the mediterranean sea with two vintage sailing boats and quite a number of Californian and European surfers, sailors, free divers and some musicians. We will follow Ulisse’s route in search for never surfed spots, trying to live with zero carbon footprint during our adventure, we don’t really know if we will find good waves or a good sea, it’s going to be first of all an adventure with our eyes and our heart open to the events. The French band Phoenix are singing in their song “Telefono“ and express pretty exactly what crosses my mind, when I am thinking about Italy today. My parents used to travel to Italy with me, when my brother and I were kids every summer so probably that helped to lay the foundation for my weakness for the “La dolce vita“. Several years later I am still romancing over the beauty and diversity this country offers and try to capture them in my pictures.

To me, one of the best things about surfing is the fact, that it leads you to places where you wouldn’t have been to without it. Incredible wildlife, deserted streets, endless desolate beaches, charming shops you had not entered if you wouldn’t have needed surf wax again. This time the journey led us first to South Africa and later also to Namibia. Two countries, which doubtless offer some of the best waves in the world, but in my view so much more.
