PAINTING WITH JOHANNA OLK
To celebrate her latest capsule collection designed for RVCA, we decided to organise with Johanna Olk a contest to unleash your artistic mind and win products for the collection.
Johanna’s work is comprised of defined-yet-minimal line work that conveys a delicate sense of emotion. She enjoys representing the strength and the emotion living in the ordinary, and paints images playing with simplicity and the everyday life’s melancholy. She invites us to observe women with staring eyes. A coldness that catches our attention and which, paradoxically, soothes us.
We partnered with RVCA to offer you 2 tees from Johanna’s collection and 2 copies of Salt Water Magazine volume 3 “Stoke”. As the confinement continues, we thought that organising a contest around art and femininity was a good excuse to discover new talents and unleash the artist who is sleeping inside your mind.
How to participate:
1/ Draw a piece of art around the theme of “Femininity”. No matter the way you do it, no matter how you do it or on what you do it. Just do it.
2/ Share your art on Instagram Stories between now and April 3rd. Tag @Saltwater_mag, @rvca_europe and @johanna.olk to enter the contest
3/ Johanna will pick 2 winners.
