LITTLE DID WE KNOW

As I’m sitting here trying to write this I realise that its been three months since I got to go for a paddle and my soul is as lacking of ocean, freedom and salt as its ever been.

Who would have thought that these visuals from our trip to Lombok were to be of the last surfs before the life sucking goblin aka. Coronavirus would come in and steal our precious normal. Which will be normal no more. For that I am actually grateful. As the planet needed change but I guess there’s all sorts of directions this goes in the end. Lets just hope there’s love and positivity to accompany whatever the outcome is.

They say you shouldn’t look back to much. But having the memories and stories of an amazing surf mission to Lombok can definitely help you get through the day or even a few. We spent three days just laughing, surfing, eating, sleeping and repeating until the skin and the muscles just couldn’t take another second of sun or movement. As we got back to Bali the need for surfing was dormant and blocked by a layer of contentment that actually lasted for quite long, or at least til the sunburn was gone.

Beaches are about to open here in Bali and Im thinking its gonna be a lucky time to be here as the island gets to breath from the overcrowded tourism. Can’t wait for the first surf. “ - Raskal
